Reruns are new to me

My schedule doesn’t allow for much television these days, but I did manage to watch some the other night. It was a touching moment between a father and a son, one of those moments that inspires you to become the best parent you can be. I know this sounds uncharacteristically sappy coming from me, but becoming a father has opened up a whole new world to me…

Just watch, I can’t really express it it words.

See what I mean?

Two teeth and a hair cut

Bean sprouted his first tooth two weeks ago, and now his second one has almost caught up already (both bottom front). I would post a picture so you all can see how adorable and OLD it makes him look, but he spends most of his waking time these days sticking his tongue out as far as it will go and shrieking, which makes seeing his teeth kinda hard. I promise that they are there though; he spends the time that he’s not shrieking chewing on my shoulder.

In other semi-news, I finally bit the bullet and got all – okay, most – of my hair chopped. It’s about chin-length, the shortest it’s been since it first grew in (sometime around my 7th birthday, I think). It’s alternately cute and wonky depending on the weather and how much time Bean gives me to fuss with it in the morning, but it’s definitely a lot easier to take care of and harder for him to pull out of my head. That’s a good thing. No pictures of that either.

And last but not least, I was made a Resident Artist at the PRTC this week. In a strictly practical sense, it doesn’t really mean much, but I’m more than a little pleased to have my name in the same list with people who have been members of the company since day one. Yea, me!
